The Ability Project  Real and Practical Support for Our Disabled Adults.
The Ability Project has been established in response to the growing need to assist adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities transition from home and school to a permanent place in our community. Adults are often overlooked by government and private agencies.  These adults have a tremendous potential to be successful, contributing members of the community, but lack the professional and social support to meet those goals and live independently.
For more details on the creation of this sustainable and permanent residential, employment and social structure for our developmentally disabled adult, go to http://www.abilityprojectmaryland.com/

Aggression: A Challenge for Families of Children with ASD
Children with ASD sometimes have aggressive and other out-of-control behaviors, and this has been linked with high levels of stress in families. Little research has been conducted to gauge the extent of the problem. Now, researchers report that aggression occurs at a very high frequency among children with ASD, and is tied to certain child characteristics.
